Overland / Expedition Style off road trailers refer to trailers specifically built for off road/4×4 trail use. These trailers usually feature large tires and an advanced suspension system. They also often include many advanced features for extended back country use.

We picked up our Manley ORV Explore trailer a couple of weeks ago and have spent a little time with her so far. How much storage do you need?
Face it, the main reason many of us start dreaming of an off-road trailer is to carry all of our great gear into the back country. It could be because our family has grown and we need the space in the truck (as is in the case in our family) or it could be that you’re sick of packing up your vehicle every time you want to go wheeling.
Perhaps most importantly, many want to be able to spend an extended amount of time off the grid, and a well stocked trailer makes it much easier.
We’ve thought long and hard about the best way to do a comparison of overland style off road (or expedition) trailers that would give you a good basis for starting your research.
With so many brands, styles, and options on each trailer – it’s nearly impossible to do an effective comparison, so we had to think ‘inside the box’ for the beginning.

A Canadian trailer manufacture, Off Road Trailer Corp offers a great basic trailer at a really aggressive price. The Sasquatch is built to serve as a true multi-purpose trailer and is rugged, just like its Canadian builders.
CVT has been an RTT manufacturer for the last couple of years, and recently started selling off road trailers.
They offer two models of trailer that are built to take on the toughest trails and get you out into the woods. The Pioneer is the smaller trailer and comes in at 750lbs, while the Nomad is more of a ‘box’ trailer.
Manley ORV Trailers from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio is one of the newer trailer manufacturers on the list, but they feature very cool options on the tried & true “M416” based trailers.
Their three models of trailer go from ‘basic’ and inexpensive to ‘fully outfitted’ complete with an ARB RTT. MORV also offers a unique option within each model: you can choose from an imported frame & tub for significant savings, or pay a little more for a build 100% Made in America. This is the first company we’ve seen to offer such a choice.
